Beaches, island adventures and world-class theme parks

Day 1: The Historic Centre and Beaches

Start by exploring Benidorm's past in the historic centre. Wander down narrow cobbled streets and visit Calle Mayor, Plaza de Canalejas, and Plaza del Castillo to experience the town's cultural heritage.

At Plaza de San Jaime, visit the San Jaime Apóstol y Santa Ana church, dating to the 18th century, distinguished by its blue cupolas.

Head to Balcón del Mediterráneo (Mirador del Castillo), a viewing point offering spectacular vistas over the town and its vast bay. Sunset is the best time to visit.

Benidorm offers numerous beaches and coves:

  • Tío Ximo and La Almadrava coves are nestled at the foot of Serra Gelada natural park, ideal for snorkelling
  • Mal Pas cove is a diver's paradise
  • Levante and Poniente beaches feature water sports and activities, staying open until after 8pm in summer

Day 2: Benidorm Island

Benidorm Island, also known as "Journalist Island," lies two miles offshore and offers stunning landscapes and fascinating wildlife. The island features moray eels, octopuses, and is among the world's best diving destinations.

Boats ferry visitors to the island in approximately 15 minutes. Once there, explore hiking routes, swim, or snorkel. One restaurant serves Mediterranean cuisine.
